What TakeOver is
TakeOver is a matchmaker. We introduce a student who needs out of a lease to a student who needs in. That is the whole of what we do.
We are not a party to your lease. We are not a letting agent. We do not run the application, the credit check or the approval — the property does. And we never handle your rent or your deposit.
Posting a lease
You may only post a lease you actually hold, with terms you can honour. You confirm the property permits a takeover; we cannot confirm it for you.
Nothing you post goes live until you approve it. You can pause or close a listing whenever you like, and closing it is final.
Taking over a lease
Raising your hand costs nothing and commits you to nothing. An Access Pass buys a window in which to talk, never an outcome.
No money should change hands until the leasing office has approved you in writing. Anyone asking you to pay before then is running the scam.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like. We will count what that affects before you confirm it, and we will destroy the documents you gave us.
What we cannot do is delete the copy of a conversation the other person kept. We say so plainly rather than promise otherwise.
