What we hold

Your name, your email address, your phone number if you gave us one, the campus we derived from your email domain, and whatever you wrote on your listing.

We hold your lease document only if you uploaded one, encrypted, and only for as long as the listing needs it.

When more is shown

Your full name is shown when you reply to somebody, not before. Until then you are a first name and an initial.

The exact address of a lease is released by the lister, into one conversation, by an explicit action. TakeOver never releases it for them, and it never appears on a card, a map pin, a notification or a message preview.

A Co-Pilot you invite sees one lease and nothing else. They never see your password, your payment details, or any conversation that is not about that lease.

Your lease document

Stored encrypted, readable only by you and by a reviewing member of the TakeOver team, and every read is logged and attributable.

Destroyed within 90 days of the listing closing or expiring, within 30 days of being replaced, and within 24 hours of you deleting your account — redacted copies included.

How long we keep the rest

A waitlist entry until the campus opens plus 90 days. A calculator estimate nobody claimed, 90 days. Messages stay with the conversation, anonymised if you delete your account.
